So Random!

I decided to join in this week @ 2nd Cup of Coffee & do the Random Dozen. Join in if you'd like!
1. Are you pleasant when you're ill, or are you a grumpy, fussy patient?
I do not really get sick that often so I am not sure...I'd like to say I'm pleasant, but I am probably pretty grumpy. I do always remember to say thank you though :)
2. When you find out that school is canceled (due to inclement weather) what is your gut reaction?
For one, I live in San Diego...which means No snow. & secondly, I homeschool so I can cancel school whenever I want ;)
3. What is one domestic skill you wish you could improve?
Mopping, my floor get sticky afterwards & I hate that!
4. Do you decorate your home for Valentine's Day?
I hadn't until this year, I got a heart wreath for my door and a few little knick knacks...I didnt over do it.
5. What song is on your mind today?
I just cant stop loving you..by Michael Jackson
6. Do you prefer contemporary movies or classic?
Aren't all the movies I love classics??
7. How well do you "compartmentalize" your feelings? For example, how well can you put aside a really trying moment to deal with the immediate situation which is not related to the trying moment, e.g., putting aside a tiff with your spouse in order to finish wallpapering a room.
I think I am pretty good at it, but sometimes I can blow up at the littlest things because of something else that is going on. But I have to put my feelings aside A LOT when my husband is on deployment & trying to raise 3 kids on my own. I dont really have a choice.
8. What is the first thing that attracted you to your spouse? (Or if you're single, to your best friend.)
His eyes, he has the most beautiful blue eyes :)
9. When was the last time your heart raced?
When Alexis dropped Jojo on his face earlier today. Poor guy.
10. What are your memories of Valentine's Day at school?
A few, getting little grams from friends & "secret admirers" & once I got like 3 roses from a boy. It was so sweet.
11. If you were going to receive candy for Valentine's Day, which would you prefer?
Almond Roca
12. Red or pink?

  1. One of the perks of home schooling!! :)

  2. Well we are mid blizzard here on the East Coast so plenty of snow days around here. My kids are grown now so it's not nearly as much fun.

    Enjoy your day!

  3. Yummy, love almond rocha too! Hope the little guy is okay after the face drop. Ouch! My heart would race too on that one!

  4. Ohhhh. Almond Roca is a good choice.
I salute you for being a single mom when your dh is deployed. A job not for the faint of heart!

  5. Great answers! My husband grew up in SD and we lived there many years before moving away. We lived in Escondido and Solana Beach, but roamed the whole SD region in search of good food and fun. We always enjoy coming back to visit.

Just a thought on the sticky floors - that used to happen to me until someone said I was using too much floor cleaner in my water! Hmmm. I used less and didn't have sticky floors anymore.

I admire our deployed service people's spouses who hold down the fort while they're away. I'm sure it's hard!

Many of us wrote "eyes" for our answer about our husband. Window to the soul...

  6. Enjoyed your answers. I am sure homeschooling definitely has its advantages. So glad you joined us this week. And thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you again!

    until next time... nel

  7. Danita, Oh, how you make a snow-bound meme-writer envious for your locale!

#9 made my heart race a little. I hope all is well.

Thanks for playing along this week!

  8. how's his face?? poor thing...
    you're brave homeschooling :)

  9. Of course if you like it it's a classic! You did a great job here. I did it for the first time at http://wtit.blogspot.com. Have a great night.

  10. Enjoyed your answers, and I totally know what you mean about the sticky floor lol...

  11. Thank you for your sweet comments! I just discovered your blog as well, and it is quite adorable!
What is Almond Roca? I have never heard of it!
I also wanted to let you know that I completely admire you for raising your three children on your own while your husband is away- I cannot even imagine how much strength and courage you have to have to do that!

  12. I enjoyed your random answers. I'm in California too. No snow days for us.
