Updating...

I have been quite the busy bee...my husband left on deployment a little over 2 weeks ago. We miss him very much and it has been quite the challenge to get a handle on everything. I have to get 2 kids off to school every day, a 3 yr old to school twice a week, gymnastics once a week, missionettes for the girls on Wednesdays, trying to fit in working out, cooking, cleaning and homework...makes me tired just thinking about it. Not to mention getting ready for the holidays!

Before he left we made a trip up to Knotts Berry Farm for a family day...it was Veteran's day so you can imagine how many other families had the same exact idea & decided to show up!

We spent last week in Arizona visiting my family and had a wonderful time. I really needed that boost and we will be back there in just 3 weeks for Christmas break. Here we are on Thanksgiving:

We drove back home on Saturday so Alexis could get baptized at church Sunday morning. We were very blessed and for a treat I took the kids out to dinner at Olive Garden. YUM!

On top of everything else for this week, I've added a couple things to my to do list: Decorate for Christmas & start my Christmas shopping!

Friday Fill In

First I Want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Mother In Law! Love you & wish we could celebrate with you!!

1. It was a dark and stormy night, and I cuddled on the couch watching my DVR.

2. The kids would not listen so I offered to take the books myself.

3. Rushing out, is a way to forget something.

4. It a full moon...I think I heard a howl!

5. Shhhh... the baby is sleeping.

6. Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to movie night with friends & family, tomorrow my plans include trick or treating & Harvest carnival with my Pirate, Minnie Mouse & Buzz Lightyear and Sunday, I want to NOT have a huge paper due!

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!

3. I want to get far away from the craziness of life and just enjoy my day.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to hanging out with friends, tomorrow my plans include a pumpkin patch and Sunday, I want to make it to Sunday School!

HAPPINESS

Over the last year I have been on a bumpy ride with ups and downs and although I love roller-coasters, this one was one I never imagined being on. But today I can actually say I am happy to be where I am. I have a wonderful husband who takes care of me and loves me no matter what, 3 children who drive me crazy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We live in a beautiful town and have made some wonderful friends. I have learned that no matter what you do or where you are nothing is perfect. There is nothing wrong with striving for more, but you must also be content with what God has handed you because the minute you could lose it all...will be the minute you realize how you have taken it for granted and would do anything to gain it all back.
I am truly happy. With laundry piled around me, my kids screaming & laughing loudly, dishes in the sink and dinner needing to be made...I am where I want to be & happy.

Long time no see

Hello, to all my faithful bog readers!
I am sorry I have not been around much lately, but thank you for still following me.
I had decided to take a break for the summer due to some crazy times.
The kids are out of school, I am still in school, we moved to another state, we had a great family vacation and I am trying to enjoy every ounce of relaxation I come across!
Moving to a new place is not that easy...new house, new neighbors, making new friends and new EVERYTHING! I cannot complain though, I am enjoying the newness of it all.
Kids start back to school starts in 2 weeks and I think things will be back to normal for a little while.
I look forward to blogging again, I have missed it & hope you all will join me again!
