Ultrasound Results

I got a call this evening from my doctor's office with the results from my breast ultrasound, if you did not catch the post you can read about it here. The u/s came back negative and is an enlarged lymphnode. She said it is normal and that I should keep an eye on it, but there would be no further action necessary. So, thank you Jesus!

Friday Fill In

1. I'd really like to go back to sleep right now.
2. Flippin Lizards is the word you'd most often hear me say if I stubbed my toe. LOL
3. Possession is 9 tenths of the law.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to watching a movie, tomorrow my plans include getting my new car titled & registered and Sunday, I want to see the CARDINALS WIN THE SUPERBOWL!

Yummy Salsa Recipe

I have a delicious salsa recipe that one of my bestest friends, Shannon, gave to me. It is SO addicting! I usually cannot stop eating it and the hotter it is the MORE addicting it is...at least to me! Everytime I make it everyone is always asking for the recipe, so here it is. Enjoy!

5 Large Red Tomatoes
5 Tomatillos
1 White Onion
1 Batch of Cilantro
6-8 Green onion
5+ Jalapenos (depending on how spicy you like it!)
5+ Serranos (depending on how spicy you like it!)
Salt
Lemon Juice
Many bags of Tostitos ( i like the scoops)

Wash & clean the items. Cut them up into smaller pieces and then use a chopper like this to chop up the tomatillos, onion, cilantro, green onion, jalapenos and serranos.

Then finely slice the Red Tomatoes, I like them diced up real small.

Add salt & lemon juice. i do not measure so I am not quite sure how much. You can add a bit at a time til you are happy. Mix it all up & if you are anything like me you will not leave the bowl til it is empty!

Make-over Time!

Thank you so much to everyone who has commented on my I Wanna Be Trendy post & helped me narrow it down! Seems like most were set on B, so I am going to purchase it! I am so excited & cant wait to model it for you all!

My next mission is HAIR! WOW, I have not had a haircut, trim or ANYTHING done to my hair since November 2007! ------------>

So now my hair looks like this =[ Very disturbing. and please forgive me for my prisoner-esque photos, but at least it gives a glimpse of how I feel for my present hairstyle..if you can call it a STYLE!

So I have spent the last few days looking for a hairstyle that I might find worthy of my head. Grant it, anything would be better than the above. And as hard as it may be for me to NOT go short, this is the plan. Help me- save me from myself -and do not let me go short. PLEASE! Seems as though every couple years I get the nerve to go short and then regret it for the next year or 2 trying to grow it out. We are staying long... & I will be keeping my natural color. With that said, here are a few styles I found and will possibly go for. Give me your honest opinions. Also, vote in my poll on the side bar! TY!!

I know my hair isnt quite long enough for D yet, but one can always dream =]

My 1st Manic Monday

What gives you hope? Jesus! He gives me hope because we can do all things through Him!

How often do you get your haircut? I go through haircut spurts LOL I like to go every birthday to get my haircut, a new style, to go with the new age I suppose. Then sometimes I will go every couple months and get crazy and go really short! My LAST haircut was in November 2007! I am planning to get a haircut soon & maybe ya'll can help me pick a style ;)

Describe your worst haircut. When I was a junior in highschool, I decided to go real short. The stylist totally butchered my hair and gave me BANGS! I got in my car and CRIED! Bangs do NOT look good on me. how sad for such a fragile teenager LOL

What's your most treasured piece of jewelry? I'm not a big jewelry person, but I do have a few special pieces. I'd have to say my most treasured piece is my Wedding Ring.

Why? It is not the original, but Joey bought this one for me before he went to Iraq for a year. I would break out every time I wore the original ring, so i hardley wore it anymore. He wanted me to have a ring while he was gone. It means alot to me =]

I wanna be trendy..

So I'm a young, attractive woman (i've been told) and well I want to feel young and attractive. I am ONLY 27 btw. I keep looking in my closet for inspiration and just get let down. How horrible is that? Any woman would want a closet full of cute trendy clothes that fit great, matching shoes and a great purse to go with! Now, I'm in quite a bind since any extra money we may get goes towards my childrens cute trendy clothes. I should have realized this would happen after baby number 1, but NOPE we kept on going. I LOVE my children though and would not change having them for an instant, but there are sacrifices mothers have to make. I've come across this awesome site months ago and have yet to buy 1 thing! My goal is to buy 1 cute dress for myself this spring/summer! Check out Lulu's and I want your opinions on which dress I should buy! I'm really liking these ones:

I'm on a roll with these blogs today!

I found a blog by Sara called A Year of My Life
I thought it was a great idea...So I am gonna attempt this project, posting 1 picture a day for a year. I know I am a bit late since January is more than halfway over, but better late than never, right?
I think it will be fun to look back on my year, see changes and different paths the year has taken me.

Friday Fill-Ins!

1. Oh, I am so LOVED!

2. I enjoy changes, big and little. [for the most part]

3. During my homework session, I should not be surfing the internet{oops}.

4. Throw up on the carpet; are you kidding me???
5. Right now I'd like to be relaxing, but I have way too much to do.
6. My SONY Cybershot camera is my favorite gadget.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to watching a movie, tomorrow my plans include driving down to Tucson and Sunday, I want to get my taxes done!

Time for another...

I guess I better write a blog! LOL It's been a few days. Monday was a holiday so I spent the day in Tucson with my sister. Tuesday Alexis woke up with a tummy ache and missed school....even though she was up running around like all was fine by 10am. Lily made it to school though, she wouldnt miss a day for anything. She loves school and is so excited to go everyday! I hope it lasts. Potty training has not been very successful this week, but mostly because I have not been too enthused. & Josiah would like to stay a baby forever so he is no help. I try to spend any down time I have reading schoolwork and doing homework. I am proud to say I have a 100% in my science class...so far..waiting on my grade for the huge paper I had to write this weekend. I'm starting to remember why I did not continue college HAHA At least I am more mature this time around...I think...i dunno, maybe not.

And of course I have been spending my Tuesday and Wednesday evenings watching American Idol! I already have a few faves ... I hope they make it through Hollywood week...which I am ready for! Enough with the auditions already SHEESH!

Tomorrow I have Jazzercise, which I am very excited about since I have not worked out since Monday. The treadmill keeps calling my name, but I have that selective hearing problem and choose to ignore it. I learned this from my children. I am re-starting my Jazz class so I get a pair of FREE shoes! How cool is that?!?

Enough with my BLAHdom for now, maybe something new and exciting willl happen soon! Til next time-

the joys of parenthood

So I decided it was time to put away those diapers and get serious about potty training! Josiah will be turning 3 in just a few months. He is so smart and I KNOW he can do it on his own. He is just so stubborn! I will ask him if he wants to wear big boy undies and he says, "No, diaper!" If we tell him he is not a baby anymore, he is a big boy..he points to himself and says, "Baby". Such a punk! HAHA I have to say after trying for many hours yesterday he did go #1&#2 in the potty! YAY! We are so proud of our BIG BOY! He's happy sitting there as long as we are reading book after book after book!

AND if you can't tell in the picture, we did get his haircut, courtesy of my mother. I knew there was a boy under all that hair! It's a cute cut, I miss his long hair...but...it'll grow back ; )

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is my dad's birthday! He turned 51! We celebrated on friday at Claim Jumpers and I cant say that I was too impressed with the food...but anyhoo..my brother MP, his girlfriend DeAnna, their son Gage and her 2 boys Ashton&Quinn joined us for dinner.

I am so glad I got to celebrate his birthday with him since I was not able to last year for the BIG 5-0!

I am so lucky to have a sweet & caring father who I know will always be there for me no matter what. No matter how many mistakes I've made or attitudes I have given growing up. I rarely have ever seen him angry. He loves to laugh and make others laugh. My children LOVE their Poppa! I'm so glad I get to share my daddy with my babies, they have the best Poppa ever!

First day of School in January?

The new year brought us back to Arizona, I thought it would be a good idea to put Lily into preschool since there were some openings. She is even considered a "ROLE MODEL" student, there are some students in her class that are having trouble with speech or are bi-ligual. She is there to be a role model! How exciting! I NEVER imagined that MY Lily would be a role-model! Her teacher, Miss Amy, says she is doing very well in class! So let's keep an ear out for how well she's doing once she is comfortable in the new class. I'm expecting to get reports of her climbing the walls soon HAHA but seriously I am very proud of my girl! Her 1st day was January 9th!

I thought it was my turn to jump on the bandwagon and start my own blog!

Most of my friends have one and I think it is a good way to keep in touch. I know we all have good in our life and bad, but it is ALWAYS beautiful because we are here ALIVE and hopefully LIVING every day to its fullest. And since i know we all have our own busy lives this gives us a way to feel just little bit connected.
