One might say it is coincidence that my eye has not stopped twitching since I have started homeschooling.
I think not.
I guess it is a bit stressfull. I am really trying to enjoy it. It is something I chose to do for the benefit of my children and I will not let anything stand in the way...
even myself.
It has only been a full 2 weeks out of the last 3; our first week we didn't do much since all the materials hadn't arrived. I know I have to give it time, everything will not go perfectly right away.
Can you tell I am giving myself a pep talk?
My schedule is completely full this week and I need to find time to sleep.
I have finals this week.
One of my best friends is coming for a visit from out of town.
I am training for a 5K in February.
& I have SO much organizing to do it could take me 3 weeks straight.
I am not trying to complain here, I know my life could be so much worse. I am thankful for my life, my husband and my children. I am thankful I have a house to clean, legs that can run, children to teach and a husband to miss.
On a brighter note: I did have a good day!
The ship's family readiness group had a party at Dave&Busters...we got to eat yummy food, great conversation and a game card to play some games!
If you didnt know...

It was a nice break and much needed for the hectic week ahead!
I have an eye that twitches when I'm a bit overwhelmed or stressed. I'm sure once you get into the groove of homeschooling you will settle into a nice routine with it and the twitching will stop. ;)
ReplyDeleteyou have a lot on your plate! just take it a step at a time. I never homeschooled, but it seems to me that the beauty of it is that you can take it at your families own pace.
ReplyDeleteI have an eye twitch too.....it's called teenagers! :)
"I won't let anything stand in the way"
ReplyDeleteI love your attitude. Hang in there! It actually get easier as your kids get older.
I wanted to stop by really quick to say "hello." I will address your comment on my blog in a bit (cooking supper right now). Stay strong my friend and hang in there. It is NEVER easy, but it will get easier as time goes by.
ReplyDeleteHi I a followed you here from Sherries blog lol :)
ReplyDeleteWe are in our first year of homeschooling as well and we have some really tough days as far as my own attitude goes so I can relate to your feelings. Sherrie and other blog buddies have been a great source of support in this first year. It will get easier, you will find your groove, and God will give you the grace to complete the task He has given you. :) If you are ever in the need of some good links I am happy to pass some along!
I think it's awesome that you are home schooling! Ron and I are seriously thinking about it as well. Maybe we could share ideas and give each other support....or our eyes can twitch together LOL!
